Senior Server-Side Ruby Engineer - Contractor

**Please note this is an inside IR35 contract for 6 months initially**

A contract role for a Senior Server-side Ruby Engineer has opened up with one of our customers. The customer is a payments provider hosted on AWS. The project is to work on their existing customer onboarding server side components that require new features adding into their onboarding workflow. We are looking for high quality engineers that know what it takes to deliver modern, clean code into production reliably. Including high coverage of automated testing and modern pipelines. The project has some exciting additional features including creating liveness probes to external services and also some self-healing features within the workflows.

Core technical requirements for the role are as follows:

• Ruby 2+
• Rspec
• Cucumber
• ActiveRecord + DB migrations
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Familiarity with Scrum

Additional nice-to-have skills

• Jenkins
• Familiarity/working knowledge of AWS
• Familiarity of reading/writing to Kafka
