OpenCredo have been awarded a place with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to provide Open Source technology services to the full complement of Government departments and organisations.
The OpenCredo services agreement supports the Government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function at the heart of government.
OpenCredo designs, develops and deploys Cloud solutions using Open Source Technology and Open Data Standards. We rapidly launch integrated products; take advantage of Cloud Scale technologies on an enterprise basis, allowing organisations to optimise their investments in legacy applications, with a migration path to a future lower cost platform.
This agreement further supports our technical credibility to deliver already proven solutions to public sector organisations.
– Jonas Partner, CEO of OpenCredo
An effective Open Digital Platform will reduce development and delivery time of valuable applications and services, making it easier for development teams to build, deploy and manage their applications and lowering the overall cost of changing those applications and the underlying platform itself.
Rather than maintaining a diverse and bespoke approach to configuration and infrastructure, an Open Digital Platform provides a consistent but flexible solution that can meet varied application’s needs, but retaining a consistent and standardised approach to deploying and managing applications, as well as deploying and managing the platform itself.
Making the most of customer infrastructure resources already available. Being able to repurpose, scale-up, scale-out and scale-down existing resources.
In summary an Open Digital Platform will enable any Enterprise organisation to have delivered a custom PaaS solution tailored to their specific business need that can be easily extended up or down which is secure, reliable and provides a cost effective future target architecture.
OpenCredo can be found on the G-Cloud 6 Digital Marketplace within the category of ‘Specialist Cloud Service providers’.
G-Cloud is a set of frameworks for the public sector organisations and more specifically their buyers to select and purchase cloud-based services through the Digital Marketplace.
The Digital Marketplace helps public sector organisations compare cloud services for any technology project they are preparing for. Once a list of requirements has been compiled, buyers within the organisation can tailor a search to find the right solution.
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) works with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery. The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.
