Muon User Group #1: Intro to Muon – How to build Polyglot Message and Event Microservices
The Muon User Group is for anyone interested in learning about the technologies and using them in practice to build highly distributed message and event based systems.
Muon is a toolkit for building message and event based microservices.
It is polyglot and lets you interact between languages and runtimes using events and messages using idiomatic APIs. This lets you build systems that follow DDD patterns such as event sourcing, CQRS, gateways.

7:00 – Intro to Muon projects – David Dawson
In this talk I will review the world of event and message based microservices and explain why we built Muon. Muon is an ambitious collaborative effort between multiple organisations to build a common api to express advanced messaging and event based concepts across multiple languages. It allows you to build a Microservices based system based on messaging and events and scale it up by adding more advanced underlying technologies while maintaining that simple api.
